CHARGE FOR UNCOVERED AND UNSECURED LOADS
It is the policy of Wasatch Integrated Waste Management District to charge $10 for each uncovered and unsecured load.
Utah state law requires loads on vehicles be confined, secured, and fastened. Per Title 72, Chapter 7, Part 4, Section 409 (2) of the Utah Code, “…a person may not: operate a vehicle with an unsecured load on any highway; OR OPERATE A VEHICLE CARRYING TRASH OR GARBAGE WITHOUT COVERING OVER THE ENTIRE LOAD. Violation of this law is subject to a fine of not less than $200.”
