DAVIS GOES GREEN SCHOOL FIELD TRIP
Thank you for your interest in scheduling a Davis Goes Green Field Trip. We are excited to schedule you and your students for a Field Trip of Wasatch Integrated Waste Management District, Weber Basin Water Conservancy District, and North Davis Sewer District.
Field Trips are scheduled throughout the school year, except during the months of December, January, and February due to weather conditions that are likely to adversely affect or make visiting impossible.
Field Trips will be scheduled as follows:
- In-Person Field Trip – Monday, Tuesday or Thursday 9:30 – 2:00 (Bus pick up at 9:00 a.m.)
- In Person Field Trip – Friday – One Bus Only 9:30 – 1:00 (Bus pick up at 9:00 a.m.)
Field trips begin at Wasatch Integrated Waste Management District, 3404 North 650 East, Layton, 84041.
For the safety of your students, we require 3 chaperones (including teachers), per bus. Chaperones should understand that they will have specific jobs to do and must commit to the entire Field Trip.
Students, chaperones, and teachers (all in attendance) MUST WEAR CLOSED-TOED SHOES.
Field Trip Schedule:
9:30 a.m. – Wasatch Integrated’s Material Recovery and Transfer Facility (MRF), 3404 North 650 East, Layton, 84041. If there are two buses, the second bus should begin at the landfill (GO DIRECTLY TO THE LANDFILL, following signs on Hwy 193 to the landfill; east to 1700 East, left/north on 1700 East, the landfill is at the end of the road).
11:00 a.m. – Weber Basin Water Conservancy District, 2837 UT-193, Layton, 84040
12:00 noon – Lunch at Weber Basin Water Conservancy District (outdoor picnic area)
1:00 p.m. – North Davis Sewer District, 4252 West 2200 South, Syracuse, 84075 (please note, this is a new sewer district-DO NOT GO TO THE PREVIOUS LOCATION)
